I Wanna Be a Fun Mom Friday!

Today I was so excited to make these cookies. I thought it would be perfect for Easter/spring and knew the girls would think it was really neat. They are called Play-Doh cookies!

-3/4 c. butter, softened
-3 oz. cream cheese, room temp.
-1 c. sugar
-1 egg
-1 tsp. vanilla
-2 3/4 c. flour
-1 tsp. baking powder
-1/4 tsp. salt
-food coloring

1. Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar till fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and beat till smooth.
2. In medium bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Stir till soft dough forms. Divide dough into 4ths. Tint each w/ food coloring. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 2 hours.

See why they are called play-doh cookies!!! :) Fun, huh?! I wanted to trick my kids, but Suzannah always seems to know what's going on!
3. Preheat oven to 350. Cut each color in half. Put one half back in the fridge. W/ the other half cut it into pieces to form 3/4 in. balls.

Then take on ball in each color and roll them into a ball.

Then roll it into a 12 in. "snake." And coil.

Place cookies 3 inches apart on cookie sheet. And bake for 8-10 minutes. Repeat w/ other halves of dough.

Pretty and delicious!!!!

And FUN! ;)
