Swimming Lessons

Today we completed our first session of swimming lessons. I usually do two each summer b/c it seems like they always start the summer off afraid of the water and by the end they are little fish. This year was no exception!
This was Molly Beth's first year to do swim lessons. Last year she had to watch and it just about killed her! She has been talking about them for months!!!
She was the littlest and the youngest and the least afraid of the water!?!
She did great...w/ the swimming part anyway. The obeying part...not so much. Her teacher (bless her heart) was continually having to tell her to stay by the edge. Her class was huge, so the time between turns was long...a little too long for a 3 year old.
She would watch Suzannah's class and do what they were doing?!
As a reward for making it through the lessons they all got to slide down the slide.
Suzannah being her typical athletic self did great. She loved the lessons!

She is able to float and do the crawl stroke no problem.
Their class also got to slide.
Unfortunately, Suzannah was too short for the big slide. She was very disappointed, though you can't tell by the look on her face!! :)
They both had a great time and passed their courses. I'm so glad that they like the water and are doing so well learning to swim!

Yea!!! Suz and MB -- Looks like you did a great job and had a really fun time. Bring your suits to Cleveland -- I'm hoping we'll find a place to swim.

Love Grams

Mackenzie and I both enjoyed reading all about the girl's swimming lessons. Both girls are just so cute! I'm glad they are doing well. It certainly does give you a peace of mind to know they have some foundational swimming skills. I love the matching swim suits, too! :) Way to go, Girls!

How great! I love Molly Beth's no fear attitude! I can't wait for the photos next year of Suz going down the big slide!
